OUR OWNER
Dustin (Dusty) Welshons is the owner of Lux Electric, LLC. To say the the electrical contracting business runs in his blood would be an understatement. Dusty started working on construction sites with his father at the age of 8. He received his first tool belt and paycheck during the summer after second grade and spent every summer working on job sites with his dad until he was 18. At 18 he went full time for his Dad’s business and begun his journey towards becoming a licensed electrician. After working as a licensed electrician under his dad for a few years, Dusty decided to go out on his own and start Lux Electric in 2009.
Dusty continues to run Lux Electric today because he enjoys the challenge that the electrical contracting business brings each day. Older homes have unique wiring which sometime require creative solutions, and new homes are being built with a wider variety of floor plans that require ingenuity in wiring solutions.
Fun fact about Dusty: He has an extra vertebrae in his neck
Dusty’s favorite hobby: Working, not a joke, he really loves what he does
Dusty’s favorite food: Pho, it’s comfort in a bowl

Connor Scholl
Electrician Apprentice
Connor is an Electrician Apprentice at Lux Electric. He has been in the electrical contractor industry for 3 years. Connor’s favorite thing about being an Electrician Apprentice is that there is always something new to learn. The industry is constantly changing and innovating, so it is fun to learn about the new things that are coming on the scene. He also enjoys diving into the mysteries of really old houses and coming up with solutions that blend today’s technology and standards with wiring from the early 1900s. His favorite thing about working for Lux Electric is working for Dusty. He is a great boss that puts his customers, employees, and family first.
Fun fact about Connor: He lived in Glacier National Park for 2.5 years
Connor’s favorite hobby: Golf, it’s his yoga
Connor’s favorite meal: Steak with mashed potatoes
